Fotografie hat sich von Anfang an mit dem menschlichen Körper und den Möglichkeiten auseinandergesetzt, Identität abzubilden. Viele Fotografinnen und Fotografen haben sich seither dieser Thematik zugewandt. Mit dem Aufkommen der sozialen Plattformen, auf denen vor allem die Inszenierung des Selbstbildes und die Erschaffung einer Identität im Vordergrund stehen, ist die Beschäftigung mit Fragen aus diesem Bereich umso relevanter geworden.
Nida Temajs Arbeit betrachtet den elementarsten Bestandteil des Menschen und der Identität: den Körper. Dieser ist laut dem deutschen Psychologen Hilarion Petzold ein Pfeiler der Identität und trägt zu dessen Entwicklung bei. Die figürliche Fotografie bietet eine Möglichkeit, den Körper in seinen unterschiedlichen Formen darzustellen. Der Körper versteht sich als ein Ausdruck der Identität. Das Ziel der Arbeit ist die Entwicklung einer eigenen visuellen Sprache, die sich vor allem mit formellen Fragen der Abstraktion des Körpers auseinandersetzt.
From the beginning, photography has dealt with the human body and the possibilities of depicting identity. Many photographers have since turned to this subject. With the advent of social platforms, which focus primarily on the staging of self-image and the creation of an identity, the preoccupation with questions from this field has become all the more relevant.
Nida Temaj's work looks at the most elementary component of the human being and identity: the body. According to the German psychologist Hilarion Petzold, the body is a pillar of identity and contributes to its development. Figurative photography offers a way to represent the body in its different forms. The body is understood as an expression of identity. The aim of the work is to develop its own visual language, which deals primarily with formal issues of abstraction of the body.
